Case to Proceed Against Trailer Maker
The first trial alleging that trailers provided to storm victims by the Federal Emergency Management Agency contained dangerous levels of formaldehyde has seated a jury, although Gulf Stream Coach Inc. is the only defendant in the case. Last month Judge Kurt Engelhardt removed the federal government from the suit, citing a two-year statute of limitations. Attorneys for the plaintiffs, Alana Alexander Christopher Cooper, plan to appeal. Associated Press, Chicago Tribune 09/14/2009
